Description for the category: Ghostwriters
A ghostwriter is a professional who is charged with creating original content that is entirely credited to another person (the author). In a traditional editing relationship the editor reacts to what an author has written. In a ghostwriting relationship the author reacts to what the editor has created, according to a mutially agreed-upon outline foe the book. Celebrities, politicians, and and corporate executives are three examples of individuals who might hire a ghostwriter to develop an autobiography, political manifesto, or corporate history--for example. Ghostwriting often involves conducting research and interviews in addition to writing and editing. Professional fees are always project-based.
